Reading Road Trip 2013!

Last year I participated in the first ever Reading Road Trip, and I'm happy to be participating again this year!  This year my state is Georgia, which is exciting because that's the state I currently live in!  There are several literary things that I love about Georgia, but it's where Gone With the Wind was written, one of my favorite books and the longest book I've ever read.  There are several Gone With the Wind museums around the Atlanta area and they're great fun.  I've even been to Margaret Mitchell's apartment!

Now for the fun part.  Enter with the Rafflecopter below for a chance to win Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins, one of my all-time favorite YA series.  Like, ever.  If you've read the first book, you can opt to receive the second or third book in the trilogy.  Or if you prefer a copy of Gone With the Wind, I would be happy to oblige.  Enter below, US only, 13+, runs through 7/23/13.

  1. I think that state is amazing. A lot of history there in Georgia. I am hosting Utah in a couple of weeks!

  2. Woot! I'm from GA too! I suppose my favorite road trip memory is either the time I was super excited to finally get into Indiana only to see the sign for Illinois or the car trips with just my mom. It was quiet, we listened to music, I read...no car drama = perfection.

  3. Yay Georgia! I haven't been there in probably twenty years, back when I was a kid, so I don't remember it very well, but oh well. :) My best road trip memories are my husband & my annual (sometimes twice yearly) trip from home here in Iowa to New Hampshire to visit his family & friends. Nothing like a twenty hour straight-through drive for some fun bonding time!

  4. My favorite road trip memory is the first time I properly heard a southern accent in real life! I was young and so genuinely entertained, haha.

  5. I live in Georgia =]] You should definitely go to the Gone With The Wind museum in Marietta. My favorite road trip memory is driving to Daytona for Spring Break with my friends.

  6. My best road trip memory was driving from IL down south through to Georgia and Florida. We were able to stop at the beach and historic towns to see the gorgeous plantations. Then we drove back home on the east coast and stopped in D.C. Great trip!

  7. I ate a huge burrito somewhere in California. It was really good, but it was huge!

  8. My best road trip memory is when my brother got out of the Marines and my husband and I flew to San Diego (from FL) and spent two weeks driving home with him. We stopped in so many places (Las Vegas, Houston, and New Orleans to name a few) and made my brother and husband really bonded.
